Anyone interested in connecting with you will then be channeled through the portal to you so that the decision is finally in your hands whether you want to set up the connection. We want to ensure that the connecting power stays with you.

What information do I have to divulge?

When registering with Ucademia.com you will be asked for certain biographical details including various ways in which we can contact you. This information is not included in your self completed biographical profile as we advise against that. Your contact details will be secure with us and only be used to push expressions of interest through to you from people who would like to engage you. The information we require would also have to be strong enough to identify you as the owner/generator of knowledge or information and protect you and others against intellectual property theft or plagiarism. Ucademia.com will have sufficient search functionality to enable you to look for knowledge or ideas on selected topics, to search for people with particular academic qualifications or industry experiences, age, gender, geographical location and various other elements. When you register you will be able to access the advanced search function to enable even more differentiating searches.

Ucademia.com is for free. You will neither be charged a fee to submit profiles and material nor for accessing information and having contacts facilitated. Should you however wish to advertise business enterprises or products on the site which we believe are relevant to our visitors, a rate will apply.
